    Charlie and Vita Snowden Scholarship Fund

    The Florida Chapter funds a scholarship for college education each year to eligible family members of active Florida chapter members, known as the Charlie and Vita Snowden Scholarship Fund. An eligible family member is the child or grandchild of a current and active member of this chapter. The eligible family member must currently be enrolled in a college program or approved to attend college in the current calendar year. Applications must be submitted by the eligible family member to the Secretary/Treasurer by March 15th of each year. 

    The following criteria must be met in order for an eligible family member to apply for this scholarship:

    • Member and eligible family member must both reside in Florida at the time of application.

    • The member is eligible to apply after three consecutive years of active paid status with the Florida chapter. This period will begin on the date of the initial paid membership.

    • Eligible family member must be 24 years of age or younger.

    • Eligible family member must be enrolled for an under graduate degree only.

    All applications will be reviewed by the Secretary/Treasurer for eligibility. All eligible applications will be forwarded to the Chairperson for the Scholarship Committee. The Executive Board votes on the number of scholarships to award and to who the scholarships are awarded.
