Message from the President

Hello everyone,
It is an honor to step into the role of President for the Florida Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates! Thank you for putting your trust in me. As the largest chapter in the world, we have always been a strong voice for law enforcement professionals, and I am committed to building on that momentum.
I have four main things I wish to focus on during my term as the president. These goals all center around making our association even better for you, our members, and continuing to excel as leaders in the law enforcement community.
Continuing to Deliver Engaging Training and Events
First, as an organization, I want to ensure we are focused on relevant and impactful training. The world of law enforcement is forever changing. New trends develop constantly and Florida is, and has been, on the cutting edge of elevated law enforcement tactics, training and technology. It is vital we maintain our focus on enhancing the professional development of our members, embracing the contributions of members still engaged in the workforce and retirees alike. Similar to the National Academy, we will work to center our training on leadership and development. We will work with our public and private partners to highlight new opportunities and emerging technology in the field. For all members, we will continue to include events that offer opportunities for continued learning, sharing your invaluable experience, and simply enjoying the camaraderie with lifelong friends. We will work hard to bring you a variety of training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities that are not only informative but also a great way to connect with your peers.
Growing Our Membership
Second, we have taken great strides as an organization to engage new members from the point of attendance at the National Academy. We want to make sure we are involving these new graduates from the beginning, extending personal invites to conferences and area events and to highlight the great value we have found in the engagement of the chapter and the National Academy.
Prioritizing Scholarships and Youth Leadership
Third, giving back to the law enforcement profession is one of the core elements of who we are. These contributions start with the engagement of the youth of our communities. Our Scholarship programs and youth leadership programs impact young people in a positive way and establish pathways into our profession that are unmatched. They focus on building strong character and civic responsibility and help them understand the vital role that qualities such as honor, commitment and leadership play in our daily lives.
Fostering relationships with our Federal partners
Lastly, as an association, we hope to build on opportunities with our Federal partners at our field offices in Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami and in our local resident agencies. Through these partnerships we can continue to elevate the relationships between Federal, State and Local law enforcement and truly leverage the benefit of attendance and engagement at the FBI National Academy.
I know, as we all work together, we will continue to represent the Florida FBI National Academy at the highest levels. I am humbled by this opportunity to serve as your association president and I am committed to advancing the organization, which is driven by membership engagement. I welcome your input, ideas and feedback as we all work to continue to make the Florida FBI National Academy Associations the leader in law enforcement training and development.
Stay safe and God Bless,
