Dear Florida Chapter Members,
It is with profound humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of purpose that I step into the role of President for the Florida Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates. I am honored by the trust you have placed in me. As we move forward together, I look forward to working alongside each of you to build upon our storied history and uphold the standard of excellence that defines the FBI National Academy.
Our association has always stood on a bedrock of core values: leadership, professionalism, integrity, and lifelong learning. These principles are not just historical markers; they are our daily compass as we navigate an increasingly complex law enforcement landscape.
As we embark on this new chapter, my vision is focused on honoring our strong foundation while actively driving progress across key strategic priorities:
- Elevating Leadership & Professional Development: We will expand high-caliber training opportunities to ensure our leaders remain equipped for modern operational and administrative challenges.
- Prioritizing Officer Wellness: Beyond tactical readiness, we must protect the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our officers and their families. Wellness must be embedded in our culture.
- Strengthening Member Engagement & Communication: Through streamlined communications and responsive outreach, we will keep every member connected, informed, and active—regardless of agency size or geography.
- Fostering Innovation & Collaboration: By driving cross-agency partnerships and embracing cutting-edge practices, we will position our chapter as a leading voice for modern policing solutions.
- Investing in the Next Generation: Our legacy depends on who we bring up behind us. We will enhance mentorship programs and open clear pathways for rising law enforcement leaders across Florida.
The true strength of the Florida Chapter has never been a title or an office—it is you, our members. Every NA graduate brings a distinct reservoir of experience, wisdom, and dedication that elevates our entire profession. I encourage you to stay active, attend our events, mentor a rising officer, and bring your ideas to the table.
Thank you for this incredible opportunity to serve. I am confident that through active collaboration and an unwavering commitment to our shared mission, our chapter’s finest moments are straight ahead. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and working shoulder-to-shoulder with you all.
Respectfully,
Craig A. Capri
